About this product

Githi is the patang paper grading, and 4.5 is a lot of kite. This is the one that sits high and steady over the mohalla and makes every smaller kite around it look busy. It needs wind with substance and a flyer who has held a pulling line before.

Patang costs more than gudda because it costs more to make — more paper, more bamboo, more work in the bow. We price it at what it is rather than padding the shelf with cheaper grades that disappoint in the air.

Fly it on a heavier hand with any of our 9-ply pinna, gloves on. Single, or a raqam of twelve at exactly twelve times the single price for rooftops that fly patang all day.

4.5 githi patang price in Lahore

Rs. 1,500 for a single patang; a raqam — the patang trade term for twelve — runs Rs. 18,000, exactly ×12. For comparison, small commodity patang sold online in 2026 at Rs. 800–900; a 4.5 githi is a different class of kite entirely, and its price reflects the paper and the hours in the bow, not a margin game.

Patang rates moved the most of any kite class late in the 2026 season, because the big kites are the slowest to make and the first to run out. If the festival matters to you, this is the product where locking today's price with 50% earns its keep.

Githi, and why patang costs more

Githi is the patang paper grading, as tawa is for gudda — 4.5 githi means serious paper across a much bigger frame. The bow takes real bamboo and real work, and a badly made big kite simply does not fly, which is why cheap large patang is a contradiction.

In the air it is the kite the whole mohalla can see: high, steady, and slow to be bullied by gusts. It asks for an open rooftop, wind with substance, and a flyer who has held a pulling line before.

Common questions

What is a raqam?

The patang trade's word for a dozen. Ask for a raqam at any kite shop in Lahore and you get twelve patang. We use it the way the trade does — for patang only; our gudda sell as plain dozens.

Is the 4.5 githi patang a beginner's kite?

Honestly, no. In light wind it will not perform, and in the strong wind it wants, it pulls hard enough to surprise anyone who has not flown a big kite. Start on the 1 tawa gudda; come to this one when your hands know the line.

Is this kite legal to fly in Punjab?

Yes. It sits within the size limits set by the Punjab Regulation of Kite Flying Ordinance, 2025 and carries the government QR sticker, which resolves to the e-Biz Punjab portal and names the licensed manufacturer who made it. Flying is restricted to adults aged 18 and over.

How do I pay?

Two ways to book. A free reservation costs nothing — we confirm it on WhatsApp, hold your stock, and you pay the market rate on the day of delivery. Or pay a 50% deposit (bank transfer, JazzCash, NayaPay or SadaPay — details shared on WhatsApp) to lock the listed price. The balance is paid on delivery.

Is the price fixed when I pre-book?

Only if you lock it. A free reservation holds stock, not a rate — prices moved daily through the 2026 season and rose steeply in the final week, so you pay the market rate on delivery day, always confirmed before dispatch. A 50% deposit locks the listed price in both directions: it will not rise on you, and it will not fall either.

When will it be delivered?

Once the Punjab government permits sale for Basant 2027 (announced for 12–14 March). We are not delivering before then — sale outside the festival window is not allowed. When sale opens we contact everyone holding a pre-booking, in the order reservations were made, and publish a delivery deadline.

Am I committed if I pre-book?

No. A free reservation costs nothing and can be cancelled with a message. A 50% deposit is refunded in full if Basant is cancelled or restricted, or if you cancel before dispatch — we do not keep deposits for a festival that does not happen.
