Ours is the legal construction the Ordinance requires: 9-ply uncoated cotton in 1,000-yard pieces, QR-stickered and traceable. The reputation is in the name; the legality is in the thread.

Rs. 7,400 per 2 pieces as of today, with the 4-piece at Rs. 14,800 and the 6-piece at Rs. 22,200. During Basant 2026, 8 Chain traded around Rs. 7,500 per 2-piece equivalent at sellers who had it at all — availability, not price, was the real story.
That scarcity is worth planning around. The most-asked-for name sells out first every season, and 2026's compressed manufacturing window made it worse. A free reservation puts you in the queue at delivery-day rates; the 50% lock does the same and freezes today's Rs. 7,400 against the late-season climb.

Why does 8 Chain cost more than the other names?
Demand for the name. It has been the default answer to 'which pinna?' on Lahore rooftops for years, and in a market where every legal string is the same 9-ply cotton, the famous name takes the premium. You pay Rs. 3,700 per 1,000-yard piece for it against Rs. 3,000 at our entry rung.
What does the 8 in 8 Chain stand for?
Nothing measurable — it is the brand's traditional mark, like the chain emblem itself. The string's actual specification is the one the law sets: 9-ply uncoated cotton, which is exactly what our 1,000-yard pieces are.
Is this string legal in Punjab?
Yes. It is thread-based 9-ply cotton with no coating — the only kind of kite string the Punjab Regulation of Kite Flying Ordinance, 2025 permits. Metallic and chemical-coated string is banned outright and we do not sell it. Every pinna carries the government QR sticker, which resolves to the e-Biz Punjab portal and names the licensed manufacturer.
How do I pay?
Two ways to book. A free reservation costs nothing — we confirm it on WhatsApp, hold your stock, and you pay the market rate on the day of delivery. Or pay a 50% deposit (bank transfer, JazzCash, NayaPay or SadaPay — details shared on WhatsApp) to lock the listed price. The balance is paid on delivery.
Is the price fixed when I pre-book?
Only if you lock it. A free reservation holds stock, not a rate — prices moved daily through the 2026 season and rose steeply in the final week, so you pay the market rate on delivery day, always confirmed before dispatch. A 50% deposit locks the listed price in both directions: it will not rise on you, and it will not fall either.
When will it be delivered?
Once the Punjab government permits sale for Basant 2027 (announced for 12–14 March). We are not delivering before then — sale outside the festival window is not allowed. When sale opens we contact everyone holding a pre-booking, in the order reservations were made, and publish a delivery deadline.
Am I committed if I pre-book?
No. A free reservation costs nothing and can be cancelled with a message. A 50% deposit is refunded in full if Basant is cancelled or restricted, or if you cancel before dispatch — we do not keep deposits for a festival that does not happen.
